SECURITY AND TRANSPARENCY
Where the money goes
We are asking you to pay for a service that will be carried out at an unknown future time. This page says what is in force and what is not yet in place.
How the funds move
-
01
You pay
The full amount of the plan, once.
-
02
Split
90% is set aside for carrying out the service. 10% is the arranging fee.
-
03
Held
The amount stays committed until it is needed.
-
04
Carried out
It is paid to the funeral home that performs the service.
What is in force today
A written contract
You sign a contract with specific contents, a number and a date. You receive a copy.
A locked price
The price you agree is recorded in the contract and is not adjusted unilaterally.
Right of withdrawal
Within 14 days of signing, under EU law on distance contracts.
The 90/10 split is in the contract
The allocation is stated explicitly, so you know what covers the service and what is our fee.
What is not yet in place
We would rather you read it here than discover it later.
In progress
An independent custodian
We are looking into setting up a dedicated escrow account so that the funds are held by a neutral third party. That process is under way and is not complete.
Does not apply
Protection in case of insolvency
We do not claim that the funds are beyond the reach of creditors or outside the insolvency estate. There is no Greek provision or case law establishing that for arrangements like this one.
Does not apply
Supervision
In Greece there is no supervisory authority or compensation fund for prepaid funeral services. No authority oversees us.
Withdrawal, changes and refunds
Within 14 days
Withdrawal from the contract under EU law on distance contracts.
Changes to the plan
You can change your wishes and your trusted person at any time, at no cost.
Cancelling later
The terms and the refund scale are set out in full in the contract you sign.
